5 ways to enjoy Halloween at home with Milo & Nami

The costume has been laid out on the bed for a week, and every morning your little one asks, “Is it Halloween yet?” Here are five simple ways to turn that excitement into time together, using what's free on this site.

  1. Print the activity book and do a page or two after dinner

Milo & Nami: A Party Full of Discoveries has 10 pages that tell a short story. Do a page or two after dinner and let your child pick the colors. By Halloween night, the party's ready, and so is their book.

  2. Play “Which one doesn't belong?” side by side

Before your child taps a card, ask what the other three have in common. Candy, pumpkins, things that fly: there's no wrong answer, only something new to talk about.

  3. Make Cauldron memory a family game

Take turns and say the name of each card out loud as it flips. Waiting for your turn is part of the fun, and shouting “bat!” together is the best part.

  4. Take Nami's spell off the screen

After a round, try the spell at home: “Find something orange!” Pumpkins, a sweater, a carrot in the fridge. The game keeps going in the real world.

  5. Watch the Frankenstein episode and talk about it

In Discovering Frankenstein's Kind Heart, Milo and Nami meet someone who looks scary at first. When it ends, ask your child what they noticed. Children learn more from characters when a grown-up talks with them about what they saw.
