Swap 10 minutes of screen time for 10 minutes at the table

A vocabulary builder game box with Milo & Nami. Your child practices communication and meets new words in every game, and the guide tells you exactly what to say.
Ten minutes you'll actually look forward to
Most nights, the tablet wins. Not because you want it to, but because after a long day it's hard to know what to do with ten minutes, or what to say once you sit down together. The guide answers that on every page, starting with the first words to say.
You know where to start, your child gets two new friends, and ten minutes become something you share.
What your child practices with every card
It looks like a game, and that's the point. Behind every round there's a skill your child gets to practice, one small step at a time.
Three cards, one question, one big “apple!”

-
Show three cards.
Put three food cards on the table and ask your child to show you the apple.
-
Your child answers in their own way.
Looking, pointing, handing you the card, or saying the word: every answer counts.
-
Celebrate and say the name.
Cheer, say “apple!” together, and the guide shows how to help a little less each time.
Then the apple from the card starts showing up everywhere: in the kitchen, at lunch, at the grocery store. That's where the practice keeps going.
Everything you need, nothing to prepare
No prep, no printing, nothing to study first. The first page of the guide is already the first activity.
- 186 picture cards in four categories, food, vehicles, objects, and animals, from the simplest pictures to the most detailed
Food · Vehicles · Objects · Animals - The 40-page Adventure Guide: what to say, how long to wait, and what to do with every answer
- A game board where every answer moves Milo & Nami one step forward
- Four character pieces for the board
- The Adventure Journal, to keep track of the words your child already knows
Available in two editions, English or Portuguese.

The Skill Buddies were created by Angela Rodrigues, a mom and business owner who ran two child development clinics in Brazil for more than a decade, working with children and families every day. When kids told her activity kits felt a little boring, she created characters to bring them to life. Learning on the inside, wonder on the outside.
Questions parents ask us
Do I need any special training to use it?
Not at all. The box was designed so anyone can use it. The guide walks you through every step, so you can guide your child's practice while they're just having fun.
How much time does it take?
Ten minutes a day is enough. That's short enough to fit into your routine and become a habit, and the habit is where the practice happens.
How is this different from regular flash cards or an app?
Flash cards don't tell you what to do with them, and an app leaves your child alone with a screen. The box brings the two missing pieces together: a guide that tells you what to say, and Milo & Nami, who make your child want to play.
Is it a good fit if my child already talks?
Yes. After recognizing and naming, the missions ask your child to notice details and sort pictures into groups, so there's always a next step. Children who still answer by pointing or looking can start right at the beginning.
Will my child outgrow it fast?
No. The 186 cards come in four categories, food, vehicles, objects, and animals, and go from the simplest pictures to the most detailed, and the missions add new challenges as your child grows, so the same box keeps up with them.
What if my child gets it wrong?
Mistakes are part of the game. The guide shows you how to help without giving the answer, and how to step back little by little until your child gets it on their own. Every try gets celebrated, not just the right answer.
Is it therapy?
No. It's a learning game you play together, built on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis: small steps, help that fades, and a celebration for every try, the same ideas many therapists use. It was created by Angela Rodrigues, who ran two child development clinics for more than a decade. It doesn't replace evaluation or professional services. If your child is in therapy, it can be something you do at home between sessions.
Does it come in English or Portuguese?
There are two editions, one in English and one in Portuguese. Pick the one your family speaks at home; bilingual families can have both.
When can I get one, and how much is it?
The first print run is in production right now. Families on the waitlist hear first.
